Thanksgiving day at the Farm

One of those treats I give myself every year for as long as I can remember is a visit to the Farm, the Thanksgiving weekend is often peak season for colors. This year, I had my D50 with me and intended to use the fill-flash capabilities of its hybrid shutter and liberal use of the polarizing filter - exposures work out to 1/250th second @f/8 or a sunny day with this set-up. Dumb old me forget to take out the 70-300mm VR from the other camera bag, so I had to make do with the 12-24mm and 16-85mm lenses. No problem, I am able to adapt.

Soggy day at the Farm

It rained like cats and dogs on Saturday, to use an old expression, but I managed to get some captures in during the late morning before it really started to come down. I had my two f/2.8 zooms with me just in case I wanted to shoot some indoor files without flash; the little Tamron 17-50mm proved to be handy on this visit. I have no reservations using ISO 800 when the need arises for interior shots.
