Goodness, it's been over a year since I last posted anything in this blog! As do most people nowadays, I tend to use Facebook to promote my images but the quality of the results on blogs is far superior.
I visited the Farm last Saturday amid a lot of fallen snow with anticipation there would be many others who visited; the conditions were ideal for winter activity. I came away with a large quantity of usable files, but I only am posting the very best in this entry.
As always, many thanks to the good people at Ross Farm for being so accommodating as I stick a lens in their faces=)

The winter program at the Farm is in full swing, especially when there is plenty of snow and genuine winter weather. Last weekend was the tattering demonstrations, a seemingly-lost art (as are many activities at Ross Farm), these ladies were very cooperative to help me get these captures. They told me there was a group coming to watch, but the falling snow may have prevented more of an audience from attending. These were lit by the Nikon SB-800, a faithful and reliable flash unit that provides natural lighting rendition, and, as always, I use bounce mode whenever I can.
